Golden Care Hardwood & Teak Instant Grey is for customers who do not want to wait months for teak to weather naturally. It gives golden-brown teak an instant grey, driftwood-style look.

What it changes

Use it when new teak furniture looks too warm or golden for the rest of the setting, especially when you want it to sit visually beside grey wicker, pale cushions or already-weathered timber.

Where it helps

It can also maintain the grey colour of old or reclaimed teak for longer, and can help disguise lighter sapwood so the overall tone looks more even.

Care routine

Apply it as the grey colour step, then follow the product label. After the grey finish is achieved, The Teak Place recommends Golden Care Teak & Hardwood Shield to help reduce staining.

A-grade plantation teak, sourced from sustainable Indonesian plantations on Java and Sulawesi. We use only the densest part of the tree, where the natural oils run highest — the reason your piece will weather, but not perish.

Teak is made for the outdoors. Leave it to age into a beautiful silver-grey, or oil it now and then to keep that warm golden glow. A simple wipe-down is usually all it needs.
