The Teak and Sunproof Strapping Side Chair is the contemporary one, with a basketweave of woven outdoor strapping on a light teak frame.

Comfort with give

The woven seat and back have a gentle flex that the flat timber chairs do not, so they move with you, and the slightly angled back makes it relaxed to sit in for a long meal or a drink beside a coffee table.

Modern, coastal look

The black strapping against pale teak gives it a clean, current feel that lifts a dining or lounge setting.

Best undercover

It is happiest on a covered patio or in occasional outdoor use, and the strapping lasts longer when it is kept out of harsh weather when not in use.

A-grade plantation teak, sourced from sustainable Indonesian plantations on Java and Sulawesi. We use only the densest part of the tree, where the natural oils run highest — the reason your piece will weather, but not perish.

Teak is made for the outdoors. Leave it to age into a beautiful silver-grey, or oil it now and then to keep that warm golden glow. A simple wipe-down is usually all it needs.
